It is available for medium sized businesses but not large businesses.

 

How do I get started using the system?

Fill in the online enquiry form (Click here) and complete your business details once we have this we can send you an application form and access details.

 

Do I need to download any software?

No all of the software is loaded onto the internet.

 

Can I use dial-up?

Yes but you may find the system performance is slow. To get the best use out of the system we recommend using a Broadband connection.

 

Will the system work on my computer?

Yes but you must have access to the Internet.

 

Is the data secure and where is it kept?

The internet connection is over a secured connection. Our own servers are held in Telehouse in London and are backed up daily.

 

Can I access my accounts anywhere and anytime?

You can access the system where ever there is an internet connection.

 

How do we send you the records each month?

If you opt for our keying in service then you can send your records in by post, e-mail or fax.

 

How long do you take to update the website from my records?

We aim to have your records updated on our web site within 1 to 5 days of receiving the records, depending on the volume of the transactions.

 

Do you provide payroll services online?

I already have an accountant; can I still use the system?

With the Bean Accounting system there is no need for an accountant. The system will give you all you need to meet the statutory filing requirements for companies and the necessary tax returns.

 

Am I tied into a contract?

No. You can cancel your access at any time.

 

How much training will I need?

Do I pay extra for software support and maintenance?

Your monthly fees are fully inclusive of maintenance and e-mail support.

 

Is the software regularly updated?

Accounting FAQs

Can transactions be entered from the start of a financial year?

This is the ideal time to start entering data into the system although you can start entering data at any time during your accounting year.

 

Comparing your basic service with other accounting packages, I can’t see that I would get anything extra? Can you highlight the benefits?

The benefit is having an online accountant that automatically produces your Statutory Accounts and Tax Returns.

 

Do you offer accountancy advice to non-clients?

Do you produce annual accounts?

The system will automatically produce annual accounts and tax returns when you inform us that you have completed entering the accounting data for the year.

 

If I make a mistake entering an invoice etc, can I go in and “edit” it, or is it a strict system where I have to do a contra-charge entry?

The system allows you to recall the invoice etc and correct it providing it hasn’t been reconciled on a VAT return.

 

Does the system support multiple currencies?

Yes

 

Does your software include general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and all of the functionality included with normal accounting products?
